2023 Covid Safety Protocols

Please review the following rules and make sure your swimmer understands them.

Athlete tests positive:

  • Please inform the team reps and your coach as soon as possible by email.
    • Include the day that the athlete tested positive, if/when they experienced symptoms, and their last day at practice.
  • The athlete will be permitted to return to practice on Day 6-10 with a proof of negative test result and if they are completely symptom free (Day 0=day of symptom onset or if asymptomatic, day of positive test).
  • If the athlete does not test negative prior to day 10 (or chooses not to test again prior to day 10), they will be permitted to return to practice after day 10, if symptom free.

Member of athlete’s household tests positive and  are up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations

  • Please inform the team reps and your coach as soon as possible by email.
  • The athlete will be permitted to return to practice when we have received the below items:
    • Confirmation the athlete is symptom free
    • Confirmation the athlete is isolated from the positive household member
    • Proof of negative test result should be provided daily until day 5 (after you had close contact with someone with someone with COVID).

We highly recommend athletes wear their masks on the pool deck, especially at swim meets given the higher volume of athletes, coaches, and officials.

Member of athlete’s household tests positive and  are NOT up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations

  • Stay home and quarantine for at least 5 full days.
  • Even if you don’t develop symptoms, get tested at least 5 days after you last had close contact with someone with COVID-19.
