Dear parents of 13 and up swimmers:

Please encourage your swimmer to come to the Blue Out team meet on Wednesday, June 12, and all of the B Meets if they weren’t planning to swim in them already! They start at 6 pm.

If they plan to swim, fantastic! Swimming or not we’d love to have their presence and enthusiasm on deck.

B Meets are a great forum for the older and younger swimmers to get to know each other and to cheer each other on for personal bests.

The guidance of older children is also always super helpful. To that end this Wednesday we will be giving out historic Bannockburn caps (you may remember and even still have the pink ones with the blue B and the royal blue ones with the white B)! The older kids can distribute them to the younger swimmers when they get out of the pool.

Older swimmers can also always be helpful behind the deck — moving kids up to the proper chairs, explaining where to go and cheering, cheering, cheering!

We will also be giving out popsicles during the 5 minute break on Wednesday and at every B Meet as a way of saying welcome to Bannockburn, thank you for coming and we’re glad you’re here! Charlie Conroy will be assisting for all the B Meets and he will be leading this charge. We would love for your children to be a part of it.

Gideon Helf will be our incredibly capable announcer, we have the talents of Urban Seiberg gracing us again as clerk of course and Merritt Claud will be apprenticing under her this season preparing to take over when Urban leaves for college. Sob!
