Bannockburn Swim Team Families,

We are thrilled to announce a modified summer swim team season!  We are also happy to report that Head Coach Jason Tillotson will return to lead the season. 

In light of current events, our goal is to keep our Bannockburn Dolphins swimming in a safe and equitable manner.  We ask for your patience and flexibility as we determine the best way to operate this "unique" season.  

As Montgomery County moves to the next operating phase, we expect this schedule to evolve. We plan to adjust the practice format to increase the numbers of swimmers in each lane and lengthen practice times.

Practice Format:

• 30-minute practice sessions (10-minutes allotted for each group to exit the deck)
• Practices will operate from 8:30AM-12PM
• Swimmers may sign-up for three practices per week
• Approximately 9-lanes will be available
• One swimmer per lane* (Phase 2)
  • *Exception-->siblings required to share a lane

Eligibility – In order to protect the swimmers and coaches during this pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to limit the eligibility of the swimmers during Phase 2. It is critical that swimmers can sustain a 30-minute swim practice without assistance. Please inquire about private lessons if your swimmer does not meet these eligibility requirements. We will reconsider eligibility requirements ­as Montgomery County moves to the next operating phase.

• 8&Under: Swimmers that qualified for an “A” meet (Saturday meet) during the 2019 summer season.
• 9&Over: Swimmers that qualified for an “A” meet (Saturday meet) OR participated in a “B” meet (Wednesday evening meet) during the 2019 summer season.

Cost - Approximately $100-$125 per swimmer. Refunds will not be available.

Season Dates – June 29, 2020 – End of July.

As the summer progresses, we will determine if we can proceed with intra-Bannockburn swim meets and/or social events.

Unfortunately parents will NOT be permitted on the deck. We are asking all members to abide by the 2020 Bannockburn Pool Membership Pledge.
