Hi Bannockburn Families,

What an awesome sunburn-free morning at time trials! The typical swim meet chaos felt almost “normal” as the swimmers lined the edge of the pool cheering on their teammates. My personal favorite “normal” moment was the return of the backstroke starter “legs” (one of swimming’s more bizarre traditions)! Huge shout-out to the swim meet officials, coaches, parent volunteers and swimmers that made this meet possible and dare I say…seamless!

Oops…we messed up! Are you on of those Type-A parents that sign up for everything early? If so, this message if for YOU. In an effort to offer swimmers even MORE events on Wednesday nights’ Blue Out meet…wait for it…all previous entries were deleted (womp womp womp)!

BLUE OUT – Take TWO - Please sign up for the BLUE OUT intra-squad meet AGAIN on Wednesday, June 16^th@ 5:15pm. The good news, is that swimmers are now eligible to swim up to FOUR events. Last chance to sign up is Monday, June 14^th by 10PM.

Team Spirit Night has been rescheduled for, June 16^th - learn the Bannockburn Swim Team cheers during the Blue Out Meet!

Friday Night Pasta Party – is carb loading is out of style? Not at Bannockburn! Join your fellow swimmers after practice on Friday, 18^th at 6:00 for our first pasta party!

Potomac Pizza Fundraiser – Grab lunch after our A-Meet @ Merrimack on June 19^th while raising money for Bannockburn Swim Team! Details coming soon!

DECLARE YOURSELVES – Please log into Swimtopia and declare your availability for our upcoming Saturday morning A-Meets. Each week, coaches will select swimmers to participate in the A-Meets and we need to know if your swimmer will be available. The deadline to declare your availability is 5pm on the Wednesday evening before each A–Meet. However, the simplest way to do this is to grab your summer calendar and vacation schedule and indicate your availability in one sitting (don’t forget to include divisionals). Remember, you are giving another swimmer an opportunity to swim in an A-Meet when you let us know you can’t attend the meet!
