Happy 4^th of July -

What a great swim meet yesterday against River Falls. Bannockburn had incredible swims including several record breaking moments from Andrew O’Brien (100 IM and 100 Back), Meyer Eskin (100 Breastroke) and Caroline Conroy (25 Back). Huge shout-out to the Boys Open Medley Relay (O'Brien, Eskin, Scott, Helf) for another record breaker!  Of course we have to showcase the 8&U boys including Leo Green and Luke Watkins with their incredible first-time butterfly races! BOTH Girls Open Medley Relay's (Duncan, Eskin, Buckley, Mello) AND (Blaisdell, Lall, Sills and Clancy)  relay teams pulled through with nail-biting winning touch-outs! As CIT Valerie Mello said after the tight race, “That’s how we do it at Bannockburn!”  Congratulations to all the swimmers!

Monday, July 5th - No Swim Team Practice!  

Wednesday, July 7^th - Bannockburn @ Somerset Pool B-Meet (5545 Warwick Place, Chevy Chase, MD 20815). Finally, our very first B-Meet hosted by another team!

• Please sign up for this meet by TOMORROW Monday, July5^th @ 11pm. Somerset has already warned us they will NOT accept deck entries – so get your entries in early!
• Don’t forget - if your swimmer placed 1-3^rd in any event during the A-Meet (vs. River Falls) they may NOT swim that particular event in this upcoming B-Meet.
• Please sign up to volunteer! We still need 3-timers, 2-ribbon writers, runner, and verifier.

Thursday, July 8th - Join our CIT's for a social event right after swim practice...rumor is karaoke night, but we will confirm!  

Friday, July 9^th @ 6pm - Pasta Party Potluck after Stroke and Turn Practice! You know the drill…please bring a dish to share (no glass please).

Saturday, July 3rd –Tilden Woods @ Bannockburn! This will be our very last HOME MEET for the summer! Please join us for a very special celebration honoring our senior class including:

Sunday, July 11^th – PARENT SWIM MEET @ Bannockburn Pool (9:30-10:30 AM) - Please sign up for our Trading Places Parent Swim Meet honoring our friend and dedicated Bannockburn volunteer, Karin Tuerlinckx. Sign up now to swim and raise awareness for Pancreatic Cancer. Right now we have 10+ kid timers for only 4-parent swimmers! 

Saturday, July 24^th – Divisonals + Bannockburn Swim Team Banquet – We never want the season to end, but we will definitely go out in style…please join us for our final team celebration and award ceremony! Location/Time is TBD.
