Bannockburn Families –

What an amazing meet at Somerset last night! The swimmers swam fast, especially during those “HOT HEATS”. Thanks for all you families that made it through the entire meet…if you thought that was a long meet, take a moment and consider how our “Starter”, Chi Nguyen (mom to the Bui kids), felt after saying “Take Your Mark” a whopping 88 times! Huge thanks, Chi!

A few quick reminders:

• KARAOKE POSTPONED - Tonight's Scheduled Karaoke has been postponed due to weather.  However, no one is off the hook, we WILL reschedule!  Please keep an eye out for the pools opening status for tonight's practices.  

• Please declare your availability for Saturday’s meet against Tilden Woods @ Bannockburn Pool ASAP. This is our very last home meet for 2021 and we will honor our seniors in classic Bannockburn style! The theme of the meet will be 1980s workout! Please bring your A-game…we’re talking neon, headbands, leg warmers and whatever else you can come up with.

• TODAY - July 8^th – Order lunch for Saturday! Stay after the meet for lunch from SHWARMA! Choose a Chicken or Falafel Shawarma box (with chips/not fries) for $14.25. Send order to Michael Hyman ASAP!

• Friday – July 9^th – We’ve got you covered for breakfast and dinner! Grab a donut, courtesy of the swim team right after morning practice! Don’t forget PASTA POTLUCK PARTY (and senior celebration preparation) after evening practice…oh and one more thing….bring all your 1980s workout gear, share/trade among your friends and let’s workout together 1980s style - in preparation for Saturday’s swim meet theme – 1980s WORKOUT.
• Saturday – July 10^th - We will welcome Tilden Woods to Bannockburn for our final home meet! Warm ups start at 8:00am! Remember our theme…1980s Workout! I’m impressed Bannockburn…almost all our volunteer spots are filled…except “verifier”…why is this always the last position filled?
• Sunday, July 11^th (9:30-10:30 AM) – Trading Places Parent Swim Meet @ Bannockburn Pool – We’ve added more fun events and heats to our Trading Places Parent Swim Meet honoring our friend and dedicated Bannockburn volunteer, Karin Tuerlinckx. Sign up now to swim and donate to raise awareness for Pancreatic Cancer. Please join us! Literally ALL skills are welcome.  I'll be ready with my Swedish goggles and paper suit.  
• Wednesday, July 14th - Bannockburn @ Merrimack!  The maniacs (I'm not calling them names...that's literally their mascot), will welcome us back for our final Wednesday night B-Meet!  Please sign up for this meet by Sunday, July 11th @ 11:00pm.  Once again, we have ZERO flexibility with late entries when the meet is hosted by another team, so please get your entries in early (it truly crushes us to tell you "NO" when you forget to sign up - so sign up NOW!).  
• Saturday, July 24^th – Bannockburn Swim Team Banquet –Anyone know of a great/very affordable space that we can hold our team Banquet on the evening of Saturday, July 24^th? We are still looking for a space (church, community center, etc…) that would welcome our team. Please let us know if you have a contact or great idea!
