Welcome to all swimmers and families! We’ve got an amazing summer line-up filled with improved swimming skills, awesome friends - not to mention Friday night dinners, karaoke and endless team spirit!

Coaching Staff

Head Coach Malena Lair Ferrari will kick off the season, joined by returning Assistant Coach Lucca Scott. Valerie Mello will return to the deck as an Associate Coach alongside Tess Buckley making her CIT coaching debut!

Meets

The Bannockburn Dolphins will be competing in MCSL’s E Division. Swimmers of all abilities will have a chance to compete in meets. Bannockburn is planning the following meet schedule:

• Saturday mornings - A meets (for qualifying swimmers)
• Wednesday evenings - B meets (for all swimmers),
• Bannockburn will host one Pre-team meet at the end of the season.

Registration is open for both the competition team and the developmental pre-team. All swimmers on the competition team must be able to complete one lap of freestyle across the pool. If your child is 8 & under and/or new to the team, he/she must complete an in-water evaluation PRIOR to registering for the team. These evaluations will take place at our "Back to Pool" event on Sunday May 15th at 3:00pm at Bannockburn.

If you have a younger swimmer, not quite ready to swim an entire lap of the pool, the Bannockburn pre-team is a perfect opportunity for swimmers looking to develop their swim strokes in preparation to join the swim team. Pre-teamers must be five years old before June 1, 2022. The Pre-Team runs from mid-June through mid-July, and culminates with the Annual Pre-Team Meet!

Upcoming Events:

• Sunday, May 15th 3:00-4:30 - Back-To-Pool Night - Meet your coaches and teammates and grab a slice of pizza! Bannockburn Swim Team merchandise and team bathing suits will be available for purchase. 8 & under and/or new swimmers should bring a swimsuit to complete an in-water assessment evaluation!
• Monday, May 23^rd – Swim Practices Begin (competitive team only)
• Monday, June 6^th –Pre-Team Practices Begin
• Saturday, June 11^th – Time Trials
