Pre-Team Meet Info + Volunteers Needed + Banquet Reminders + Upcoming Events
Hi Dolphins –
Bannockburn was all “business” today as they secured the win against Mill Creek Towne, by a mere 38 points! What a great meet! Nathan Badmus broke (our old coach Jeffery Su’s) 11-12 50 fly record by .25 seconds with a new record time of 31.31! Great swim Nathan! Here are the meet results!
We have some important reminders for upcoming events:
Wednesday, July 20th – Pre-Team Meet @ 5:30pm - Please make sure to RSVP HERE. Pre-Team Swimmers will race a 25-meter freestyle, backstroke and kick. Following the meet, we will have a putlock dinner and the pre-team banquet to celebrate the season!
Calling all swim team swimmers – you are in charge - you literally run the pre-team meet - we need your help! We are still looking for volunteers to help with setting up, we need 6 swim-team volunteers to record swimmer’s times, and we need 3-ribbon writers. We are also looking for several volunteers (parents welcome) to help with clean up.

Thursday, July 21st @ 6:30PM - Parents vs Kids Dive Meet with the Dive Team + BINGO
C’mon parents – we need you to show up for this one…no need for perfection – think biggest splash and belly flops! It’s all fun!
Friday, July 22nd - Pancake Breakfast and Car Decorating @ 9:30AM – Please sign up to volunteer HERE.
Everyone on the swim team is invited to participate. But most importantly – we need parent volunteers that love to cook pancakes and are willing to make some for the swimmers while they are practicing (or drop off by 9:25am). Don’t forget that we will have swimmers decorate cars for Divisionals post-pancakes – so feel free to hold off on that car wash!
Friday, July 22nd - Bannockburn at the Movies – More information coming this Wednesday after the theatres publish showtimes!
Join your teammates at the movies. All swimmers under the age of 12 will need a chaperon. This will most likely be an 11:00AM movie. Anyone interested in participating will be responsible for purchasing their own ticket.
Saturday, July 23rd – Divisionals Meet @ Woodcliffe – Coach Malena has already notified families if swimmers will be participating in Divisionals. You MUST confirm with Malena by Sunday, July 17th @ 10:00AM (yep - that's today!).
Saturday, July 23rd @ 7:30PM - End of the Season Banquet - Please RSVP HERE. Here’s what you need to know:
- Dinner is provided, but bring a dessert to share.
- Don’t be afraid to get dressed up!
- BYOB!
- NO GLASS ALLOWED
- PLEASE RSVP HERE – this will really help us determine numbers for catering!
- *IMPORTANT* - we need all hands-on deck to make this banquet happen! Please help with setup, dessert and clean up. SIGN UP HERE.

We have to feature one of our hardest working volunteers Mariana Zand. Last B-Meet, Mariana spent hours creating awards for the famous and beloved 🔥Hot Heats🔥, she arrived early to run the B-Meet, worked as stoke and turn, runner AND stayed on deck until after 10:00 at night to help finalize automation. I think we can all agree she went above and beyond for our swimmers! Thank you Mariana!
As we wrap up this season...the swim team committee is eager to get commitments from new volunteers, next year, to help with Stroke and Turn, Automation and Concessions and more! Please consider these important roles as it truly takes a village to keep this amazing community going.
It's our week to celebrate, Bannockburn!
