Hi Bannockburn Dolphins –

Forget the scores from Saturday’s meet (spoiler alert – we lost by a mere 39 points) we still crushed it! Hosting our first dual meet of the season is no easy task. MVP awards go to Robyn Goecke and Janet Carter for creating a snack bar out of nothing at all (Air Supply would have been proud).

Here are a few updates for this week:

Monday, June 19^th - JUNETEENTH! Practice will operate normally on Monday. Don’t forget morning practices begin at 8:30am.

**LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP FOR BLUE OUT MEET** - @ 4:00pm on Monday, June 19^th. Please note that Bethesda is a mammoth swim team, therefore, events will be LIMITED in order for us to complete the meet before dark. Trust me, you’ll thank us later. Here are the rules for Wednesday’s meet against Bethesda:

1. Swimmers that competed in Saturday’s A-Meet – 2 EVENTS ONLY (swimmers that placed 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd may NOT swim that event).

2. All other swimmers – 3 EVENTS ONLY

Other RULES:

• Individual Medley is restricted to swimmers ages 10 and older
• Swimmers must be legal in events (we are looking to minimize the number of disqualifications)
• NO DECK ENTRIES

**For those swimmers that have already signed up, please go back into swimtopia and ensure your entries meet the requirements**

Wednesday, June 21^st - BETHESDA @ BANNOCKBURN B-MEET - 5:00pm warmups. Don’t forget to wear your Wild West Gear – thanks to Renee Niebylski for providing stick-on moustaches and cowboy hats to our swimmers! Don’t even worry about dinner - DMV Taqueria Food Truck will be onsite starting at 4:30pm.

Friday, June 23^rd - PASTA PARTY –Bring your favorite pasta dish to share with the team!

Saturday, June 24^th @ 8:00am – A-MEET BANNOCKBURN @ CEDARBROOK - Remember, this meet is for selected swimmers only. Coaches will determine the line-up and will let families know if swimmers have been selected. PLEASE INDICATE YOUR AVAILABILITY**. If you can attend on Saturday, just click “attending”, or “not attending”. This will help coaches know who is available. You will receive an email prior to the meet if your swimmer was selected.
