NEWS FLASH: Tonight, is the LAST AND FINAL B-Meet of the 2023 Summer Season! Isn’t it amazing how fast time flies? Shoutout to our amazing B-Reps Natalie Silverman and Meghan Rogers that have patiently communicated new rules for each weekly meet, rallied parent volunteers and were the last ones home every Wednesday night.  

Tonight, Wednesday, July 19^th B-Meet @ Rockville Swim and Fitness Center (355 Martins Lane, Rockville, MD 20850). Warmups at 5:20pm. MEET PROGRAM AND TIMELINE ATTACHED.

PARKING: Please use the parking lot adjacent to the outdoor pools and the outdoor entrance. Swimmers should come prepared to swim and avoid gathering and changing in the locker rooms.

SEATING: We have been advised to bring our own chairs.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We still need 1-more timers and 1-clerk of course assistant and, if we are being honest, hope that some new volunteers step up tonight as our regulars wouldn’t mind taking a break, leaving early, or recording their own swimmers’ races.

FOOD: Act fast because there is a limited selection of prepackaged food available for purchase.

CLEAN UP: Parents – it’s a fact, kids make a mess. Please, please, please double check that your swimmer’s team area has been properly cleaned up before you leave. This germophobic volunteer swim team committee member has picked up one too many saliva-laden, half-consumed bottles of water and food wrappers left after the meets, and...would rather not.

Friday, July 21^st – Save the Date for Pancake Breakfast and Car Decorating Make breakfast dreams come true and sign-up HERE. PRO TIP: If you don’t want your car covered in random phrases like “eat my bubbles” plus questionable artwork from Bannockburn self-proclaimed artists…park VERY FAR AWAY! It is dolphin tradition to decorate our cars with streamers and car “safe” markers in preparation for Divisionals.

Friday, July 21^st – MOVIE: BARBIE OR SPIDERMAN @ Montgomery Mall - Join your teammates for an afternoon movie! It’s your choice: Barbie @ 12:15 (PG-13) OR Spiderman at 12:30 (PG) Please purchase your own tickets in advance.

Saturday, July 22^nd – Divisionals @ Seven Locks (9929 Seven Locks Rd, Bethesda, MD 20817). Warmups at 7:05am. MEET PROGRAM ATTACHED.

Saturday, July 22^nd – AWARD BANQUET @ Bannockburn Pool – 6:00pm. We have a magical evening planned including Mission BBQ (vegetarian option available), awards and shoutouts! Please RSVP and submit $20.00/family to cover the food! BYOB (no glass) and please be prepared to help us clean up (so the pool board will allow us to continue this tradition). We are providing dinner; dessert is on you! PLEASE BRING A DESSERT TO SHARE.

Finally, we have a box full of ribbons next to the lifeguard's office. Please encourage your swimmers to dig through and grab all their ribbons this week. We cannot guarantee that we can provide the ribbons or any other awards after the season is over.
