Hi Bannockburn Dolphins –

Fantastic first week of practice! We’ve been hearing the water temperature is comfortable and practices have been well-attended! If your kids are still stuck in the school schedule and haven’t made it to practice yet – no worries, summer is just beginning and there is plenty of time. If your swimmer still needs an in-water assessment, no problem – just show up during any practice time and ask a coach for help. Most of the questions we get throughout the week have already been answered in the emails – so take a moment and read through. NOT that we DON'T love hearing from you all ;)

Here are some important reminders for the week:

TODAY, May 24^th – **Swim Team Practice for ALL age groups will be from 5-6pm**. THIS IS A CHANGE. Please ignore the website schedule, for today only.

Monday, May 27^th – Memorial Day – NO PRACTICE. Enjoy your day!

Tuesday, May 28^th – PRE-TEAM BEGINS. Please be advised that we are finalizing the practice schedule for Pre-Team swimmers for the first 2-weeks of practice – families will, soon, receive an individual email with their schedule assignments. Huge thanks for your patience.

Friday, June 7^th @ 5:00pm - Sport Fair will be on deck at Bannockburn selling team suits! Team Representatives will be selling MORE merchandise!

Saturday, June 8^th – Saturday, June 8th - Time Trials @ Bannockburn at 8:30AM - Swim Team Swimmers ONLY. What are Time Trials? Time Trials is an all Bannockburn “Practice Meet”. It’s a perfect first experience to learn how summer meets operate and gives swimmers a bit more confidence going into their first official dual meet. This meet lets the coaches know what areas the team needs the most improvement in as well as how fast each swimmer is at the beginning of the season. SIGN UP FOR TIME TRIALS HERE.

**Parents – we simply CANNOT operate meets without YOU.** Please plan on volunteering during time trials, SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER HERE. Experienced parents – if you can, please step it up and volunteer for a more senior role (runner, automation, stroke and turn – IF CERTIFIED, etc…) experienced and new parents are welcome to be timers!

Are you a photographer/artistic? We NEED you to take pictures and help us create an art display in our, very sad empty, team display board located in the entry! Let’s show our team spirit by creating a rotating masterpiece.

Are you a Type-A, super creative - event-loving organizer? We are looking for a volunteer to organize our Team Banquet on July 20^th at Bannockburn Pool.
