July 7th - Weekly Updates and LOTS of SIGN UPS
Dear Dolphin Families,
As we head into the final stretch of the 2025 season, it’s hard to believe how quickly time has flown! But while the end may be near, there’s so much to look forward to—and even more to celebrate.
Let’s start with a huge congratulations on our fantastic meet against Tallyho! Despite rumors of their pool being exceptionally slow—and a full meter longer than regulation—Bannockburn emerged victorious with a 9-point lead. Every single swimmer contributed to that win. Whether you dropped time, won a heat, or simply showed up ready to race—YOU made the difference. Well done, Dolphins!
And none of it could have happened without our incredible volunteers:
- Tom Spooner, our dedicated starter, who said “Take Your Mark” more times than we can count.
- Vivian Rogers and Corrigan Flood, our tireless clerk of course, who managed to herd a sea of swimmers like a pro.
- Colleen Crino, our automation verifier, who double-checked every time to make sure no swimmer was missed.
- Lisa Forkin & Grace Ahn, our vigilant stroke-and-turn judges, who stood under the blazing sun dreaming of Dairy Queen (DQ) treats, not disqualifications (DQ)!
- Sumi Choi spent a whopping 6-hours of her own, precious personal time learning how to improve our automation process!
- And of course our incredible timers throughout the season - Ryan Banach, Rich Craft, Brenden Flood, Melissa Flood, Louis Genereux, Trina Rand, Meghan Rogers, Cristina Spooner, and Emily West.
Our volunteers are truly the heartbeat of this team—thank you for all you do! Haven't had a chance to volunteer yet? We insist you sign up at the next event.
